SBWC Board:

I took a couple of hours to sample the 627-page SBWC Environmental Assessment and maps prepared by EMS and the SBWC Assessment Committee on 2 CD's this weekend and found all of it to be user-friendly, comprehensive, professional, well organized and very interesting.

These items particularly caught my attention:

1. Engaging photos (most zoomable to 150% to 200% w/o much loss of quality), aerial photos, charts (nicely-colored and easy to read) and zoomable maps
2. Simplicity of organization and design
3. All pages and graphics load quickly and without complication
4. Written to be easily understood by the non-professional
5. Designed to be an informative learning tool for the average inquirer with little or no background in watershed management or environmental assessments
6. Excellent information on riparian areas and wetlands
7. List of tables, list of figures, list of acronyms, glossary and appendix included
8. Data gaps included in summary

You've done an impressive job. I applaud you for it!

Thanks Fred. We're happy that you were pleased with the final product. We feel that the assessment document will serve our watershed well. We will pass your message on to those on the board that may not have seen the bulletin board lately. We'll also pass your message on the the folks that worked so hard to accomplish the assessment.
