WHAT'S NEW

The Seven Basins Watershed Council, Izaak Walton League of America and Rogue Basin Coordinating Council, cosponsor half-day family field day events to explore the aquatic bugs of our local streams. The events are held on Evans Creek at Palmerton Park in the City of Rogue River, OR. No experience is needed for the free events, designed for beginners-children, parents, and seniors.

Bug sampling materials are provided. Come prepared to get wet including proper footwear such as sandals, old sneakers, or waders. All participants receive free take home education materials. Participants should bring a sack lunch.

The most recent event was the best ever. It was a cooperative effort with members of the Rogue Flyfishers club, organized by the staff from Hanby Middle School in Gold Hill, OR, for the 6th grade class. Click here for highlights of the fun.

For more information, or schedule an event for your group of kids, contact Seven Basins Watershed Council.
